MoBlogs: Social Networks

1. What is the name of the social network site your are reviewing? 

    Flat classroom
    Digiteen
    Twitter
2. How is this site normally used by the general population?
    Flat classroom- this tool lets teachers can find other projects from other teachers all around the world.
    Digiteen- this is used for teens to post about things and its private so only the teen can allow certain people to see their posts.
     Twitter- social media where you can share your thoughts or ideas for others to see.
3. How could it be used in the classroom?  Give a classroom example.
    Flat classroom- if I'm wanting to cover how to solve equations in class, I can go to flat classrooms and find other teachers materials on how they taught their students or class activities over solving equations. I can then pull it up for the students to see the other teachers materials.
    Digiteen- I'm covering equations in class and I assign the students 10 homework questions. The student will then have to post to digiteen with two questions or comments they have about the assignment. (Each student will have the whole class be able to see their posts)
     Twitter- I will have all the students make a Twitter account. Then each student will have to post their thoughts about he material we have in class. If the material is over equations, they can say "I love equations and can't wait for more homework over it" 😃 or they can say "I don't understand equations and need more help with it." They will also add a hashtag at the end of their post. Example: #msjanzequations This activity will get the students involved with social media and technology and also it also gives them the chance to express themselves about something.
